Do you know the legend of Korean air conditioner advertising? This is an advertisement that Hausen ran about 10 years ago. They used Yuna Kim as their model and released a CM song that boasts crazy addictiveness.
In fact, the top line of this song, which begins with “Sing Sing Sing~”, was taken from “Sing Sing Sing” by Benny Goodman, who was called the king of swing. If you listen closely to the most iconic theme in the original song, you will immediately be able to picture Yuna Kim dancing. And now, in 2025, Korean producer Ellike, along with Q the Trumpet and Snozern, has reinterpreted Benny Goodman’s “Sing Sing Sing” and released it on YouTube and Bandcamp. It’s “Sing Sing Sing”.
After an intro that reminds me of old school house, the sounds of piano, synth, etc. start cue the trumpet. After a pleasant warm-up, Snowden’s bass appears and delivers Benny Goodman’s theme. Although it seems to have the grammar of electronic music, parts similar to jazz-style interplay are revealed within the piece. It’s impressive that there seems to be a respect for each genre.
