This is an argument I made last time, but a work of art depicts an ‘ideal’. If you bring up Duchamp’s ‘Fountain’ as a work of art that does not depict ideals, I would like to say that it makes you think about what an ideal exhibition would be based on. Even the emotional disturbance that the viewer receives is art.
Love is a classic among classics that has been the subject of numerous works of art. So being in love is an ideal situation. However, if you think about it, the word ‘ideal situation’ inevitably implies deficiency. If everyone were Cha Eunwoo, Cha Eunwoo wouldn’t be handsome.
The fact that human history is overflowing with content about love, and the fact that we find it beautiful when we see it, can also be thought of as meaning that there is a lack of love in our world. In the album introduction, Jae-Jian reveals that [We Gotta Love] is an album created through jams and ensembles with Yong-Hoon, Seong-Hwa, and Chan-Jin. Incorporating love into the format of improvisation seems, in a sense, to be asserting that love should spread further. If the love that should spread further for an ideal world is suppressed, the world will become a little less pretty.
In terms of the message, it is interesting that it is read in different ways every time the listener changes. This is a fact that we, including myself, easily forget, but in fact, the scope of love is a concept that encompasses many things other than romantic feelings.
