In October 2024, underground musicians in Seoul’s electronic music scene released their first compilation album [Neo Chimera: Alpha] based on a science fiction worldview. Six producers and six artists became engineers and pilots, respectively, and designed six aircraft, and the fusion of them created the Neochimera.
And at 6 PM on December 16th, the second story [Neo Chimera: Nu] will be released. This time, Yatsby, Ellike, Jibin, and Jamez have joined as new engineers and pilots.
Tracks that display various social noises focusing on motifs taken from Greek mythology, such as Chimera and Eris, stand out. The worldview that combines mythological motifs with science fiction and comic imagination has created an interesting result.
A release party will be held at BBCB on Thursday, December 18th, two days after the album’s release. Experience the second chapter of experimental electronic music in a science fiction universe.
