Love brings both the greatest joy and emptiness in the most ordinary places. We feel the void of love most intensely in the holes of our daily lives. It’s as if you feel more emptiness through the times when you lost contact with your loved ones every day than through the experience of being with a precious person on a special day.

So maybe love brings out the most intense emotions through the most insignificant things. As can be seen in 지언’s EP [ㅎㅋㅎㅋ].

[ㅎㅋㅎㅋ] is a short and intense EP consisting of only 4 tracks. This work clearly shows how unique jazz-based vocals can become if they take an alternative route. It feels like the lyrics are thrown out loud and flow freely into my ears. The simple, everyday vocabulary of the lyrics combines with the vocals to create amazing synergy.
